About us

Part of London + Regional Hotels, The Lensbury Resort is located on the Banks of the River Thames at Teddington and is home to an exclusive leisure club, a 155 bedroom hotel, meeting and events space, restaurant and bar, Spa and 25 acres of gardens and grounds.

The Role

Reporting to the Conference & Banqueting Manager/Supervisor, you will:

  • To set up function rooms as instructed by management and the event’s function sheet
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional experiences for our customers, through attention to detail and a friendly and professional service
  • Ensure a high quality mise-en-place, including polishing of silverware glassware etc
  • Attend briefings and meetings as required
  • Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety, Hygiene and Licensing regulations.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations.
  • Assist with opening and closing down of all food and beverage areas, ensuring areas are ready for service, and are cleaned down, at the end of each shift.
  • Carry out duties in all F&B areas, including Restaurant, Bar, and Member's Louge when required

What we’re looking for:

To successfully fill this role, you must possess the following qualifications, attitude, behaviours, skills, and values:

  • Previous experience in Conference & Banqueting, with an understanding of seating and table plans
  • Relevant experience in bar work is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for both food and guest service
  • A methodical approach to work and demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Excellent customer service skills with a flexible approach to duties
  • Smart standards of personal presentation
